Catching up: dogs, travels, kids and our "wedding."

I don't write anymore for any of the sites listed below. It was fun at the time. I wrote for Epinions for 15 years!

We traveled with Buffy, our Cocker Spaniel and Popcorn, our West Highland White Terrier. The kids left home for college and Jo, Elliott, Buffy and Popcorn moved to a bluff on the ocean.

This is our backyard. Over the years, we visited about 27 National Parks and most states with our dogs including our beloved Hanna, who we lost way too soon.
Hanna died at the age of 8. Our grief was so enormous that we decided we could survive if we bought not one but two puppies from the same litter. In comes Zoey and Cloey. They are Havanese sisters who bring joy to our lives every day. Cloey is on the left and Zoey is on the right. They were born March 8, 2012.

We have also been to Paris, London, Barcelona, Madrid, Israel, China, and Eastern Europe. Most recently we went to Ireland.

We've gone on cruises including Alaska,
the Panama Canal and the Baltic. We have been through two marriages and two divorces. We are a blended family. Elliott adopted Jo's daughters in 2004. Our three kids are successful and self-sufficient. One owns Laundry Locker and owned Luxor,   one is a Ph.D and one is an M.D.

Who could ask for more?

After a dozen or so years at Head Start when we sold our big house and moved to the ocean, Jo continued writing at
Epinions, started writing at Viewpoints, is writing at Examiner.com as the New England Fitness Examiner, The Autoimmune Disease Examiner, Boston Celebrity Health Examiner, and the Boston Environmental Health Examiner. You will find some good information and lots of travel reviews. Let us know if there is a particular place (like Hawaii) about which you want to know.

Elliott continues teaching and is hoping to retire in three years. Five years ago Jo's mom had to be moved to Massachusetts from Florida so that is hard on Jo but she keeps on trucking. We've had our health issues. Jo has Sjogren's Syndrome and Rheumatoid Arthritis.

Elliott has had a bout with high-grade dysplasia, which is still ongoing but perhaps we hope "in remission." Other health issues plaque us so rock climbing is out of the questions but we still do what we can do. Nature is our best friend.

A few years ago we decided to renew our vows in a sense. The first time around we got married by a Justice of the Peace. This time it was by our Rabbi. The ceremony was wonderful. If you are thinking of this, let me know so you don't have to reinvent the wheel, and then we had a reception with a disc jockey.
