These take about 1/2 an hour and are so cute! You can use 2 skeins of Lion Brand Yarn. People like the Wool Ease Thick and Chunky. I used both skeins at one time by combining the ends and knitting with two strands. I think I only used about half of each skein so I have left-overs for another project which means that this scarf only cost me $7.00! Here is a You Tube video and a picture of the scarf. 

I wrote an article you might enjoy called Why Knitting is Meditative. It certainly is the perfect hobby to do while a passenger for miles and miles and miles. It is a great way to keep your hands out of the cookie jar since they are busy. Jo learned how to make frilly scarves but it was shown to me. She is not sure one can learn without being shown. Once I knew how it was really easy and Jo ended up making about 15 of them! I made them in all colors. I found a tutorial on You Tube and it is possible to learn how to make these pretty scarves. Blankets are easy. Following patterns takes too much concentration. The yellow and white one has been made as small as an infant and as large as a blanket for two people (two blankets sewn together). You can decided how big you want it and just cast on those stitches. I usually work with 100 stitches. After casting on, knit 10 rows. That is the border. You will then knit 10 stitches and knit to the end and knit the final two st...
