Day 7 and 8  Well this was an adventure. We went into Walmart and the grocery store and had some trouble getting the steps to retract. Well good thing we stopped at the Visitor Center in Gander because the bolt under the steps broke making it impossible to retract the steps. Needless to say we figured our trip might be over but the helpful women in the visitor center pointed us to an RV dealer who I called and he pointed me to a mechanic ½ an hour away. Colin at Competitive Edge was wonderful.  He put in a new bolt. So we made it to Dildo Provincial Park south of Twillingate where the rangers were funny and the site beautiful. The following are Jo's notes on our trip with pictures. Hopefully spell check caught any typos etc. Enjoy! June 12 2014. Thursday Day 1 We got out at 10:00 as planned and thankfully had an uneventful drive to Medway, Maine. We gave Cloey 1/4 of the anxiety pill Dr. Mark gave us for her anxiety and it was wonderful. She stopped shaking. We found a nice campground called Katadhin Shadows where we had a pull through so we didn't even take off the car. Day Two June 13 Friday and a full moon We got over the border no problem. We were asked about alcohol, firearms, and the usual but there was no line and no hassle. The drive seemed easy to the Nova Scotia Welcome Center, which had acres of green grass. The girls had so much fun running and fighting.  We ended up staying near Truro in Elm River, which is very nice but both this one and another one I called and the one last night had NO TV. Crazy.
