Compression OMG should it be so tight??

I finished day 6 of my radiation treatments. Twenty-four to go. OMG! They are not that bad or uncomfortable. I don't have trouble holding my breath. It is more of facing reality. So far so good regarding burns or unusual changes in my skin. 

I took my "prescription" for compression items to the local Medical Supply Company. Maybe they should have given me a size 2 I think my arm is getting numb. 

There were questions about which glove and if I need a bra or t-shirt so I will go back after we have those answers.

I REALLY don't want lymphedema so if this stops it I will wear it for as long as they tell me. 

These compression items are only supposed to last 6 months and then I need to buy a new one. The new one is not going to be boring beige that's for sure and many times less costly than the one I have.

Cancer: I'm Scared

2/21/2022 I don't know what triggered this feeling. I have been fine. Last night we were with the grandkids, other grandparents, the grandkids' parents and a couple of others. Maybe being in such a happy gathering did it. I am not going to speculate but I came home and cried.  I cried for my daughters and my best friend who lives on the other side of the country. After Surgery: What is it like

 3/15/2022 Although I am on pain meds and a little loopy, I wanted to get my surgery day down before I forget. I don't know if this is the protocol of all breast surgeries, but I saw a lot of people!  At 7:45 I was taken into the pre-op area where I was asked my name and birthdate a dozen times. So many times, that when a woman walked in, I just said my name and birthdate. She laughed and said that she knew my name but not my birthdate. "I'm Dr. Baker." Well of course I didn't recognize her. I only met her one time, and she had a net on her head and a mask and plastic covering her face. She had on scrubs so there was no white coat. In any case I was asked by lots of nurses health questions, got an IV put in with at some point saline and an antibiotic and off I went to Nuclear Medicine and saw a machine that looked like it was from outer space.
