A lot has happened since we drove to Sacramento, stayed for 3 months with the new baby, flew home with the dogs and spent a couple of months in Plymouth. The girls hated flying. They were in two bags but Cloey bit through her bag in about 30 seconds. It was an uneventful time. We flew back June 5 and arrived at night. I got a call June 6 that mom had passed at a little after 12:00 noon right after she ordered lunch. She went peacefully but the grief and shock is still new. We flew home on the same plane we flew in on and left our shell-shocked furbabies with Arik, Jessica, Eliana and Butters. We spent the week burying mom when the the Rabbi was there a rainbow came out. I know it was mom and I saw another rainbow when we drove the motorhome back to Sacramento Dec. 22!  Jaisa and Matt are going strong. It will be 2 years in April. Heading west I had wanted to document our travels from Boston to Sacramento but much of it is on Facebook. However, once we got to Sacramento our lives changed. We spent three months of Eliana Marie's life in California. We took 3 weeks ( Our stops were Nashville, Dallas, Austin, El Paso, San Antonio and San Diego.)  and arrived the day she came home from the hospital. She is an easy, happy baby. We are so blessed.  Pics of her are on my Facebook page but here are a few.  We flew home after 3 months with Cloey and Zoey and are lucky they haven't banned us from all flights! just kidding. We were lucky because the flight attendants were so nice and the middle seat was empty so guess who got to sit there?!! On the way back in June we weren't so lucky. I complained to Jet Blue and got $200 back.  In any case we arrived in Sacramento the night of June 5 and while taking pics and playing with Eliana the next morning I got a call that my mom had passed. I am in shock and denial and because we are back in CA, it is much easier to not really realize she is gone.  We will be at Sac West for a month and then ...

The prime reason was to go to their baby shower held at Jessica's parents' (Karen and Randy) home. Arik and Jessica bought a beautiful house in Sacramento in which we stayed. Her parents are wonderful and we look forward to "hanging out" once we get there when the baby is born. We met Dee, Karen's mom, Randy's parents and Karen and Randy's 2 sons and too many others to name. We we were recruited to help cook (YES cook! ) and had a lot of fun learning how to roll, stuff and chop! Along with the kids taking us to see ELF they also let us sit with them while Jessica had a 3D ultrasound. Those of you our age will be blown away by this technology.
